Lanny Farmer is an Athens comedian who started his comedy journey in the summer of 2013. After months of writing jokes and attending open mics, he finally got the courage to go on stage. After his first show at Laughing Skull in Atlanta, in front of family and friends (that didn't disown him afterwards), he decided this was a dream he wanted to pursue. Now, after years of performing at clubs, bars, frat houses and the occasional house party, Lanny is one of the best known Athens comedians and a staple in the scene. He performs regularly in Athens and at Atlanta comedy venues including Laughing Skull Lounge and The Punchline. He has featured for Dom Irrera, Sasheer Zamata (Saturday Night Live), Michael Yo and Caleb Synan. In 2023, he was a featured comedian at the Asheville Comedy Festival, The North Carolina Comedy Festival, The Blue Ridge Comedy Festival, and the Lookout Comedy Festival. He has also produced and hosted shows in Bethlehem, Athens, Braselton and Duluth. Come to a show and see his deadpan style of comedy that most describe as "not bad."
